About Us
Our Mission
Dedicated to empowering new parents: We are committed to providing compassionate care, guidance, and resources to new parents. With personalized assistance, education, and a nurturing community, we strive to cultivate the well being of growing families. Our goal is to ensure that parents feel supported, informed, and resilient as they navigate the joys and challenges of early parenthood.

Our Story
At Idaho Postpartum Haven, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and unwavering support to families during the transformative journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. We believe that the first days and weeks after having a baby are a delicate balance of healing, bonding, and caregiving—a time when every mother deserves to feel confident, nurtured, and loved.

Our founder, Kristina Fackrell, dreamed of creating a space for birth and postpartum support since 2011, when she welcomed her first child. Despite having incredible support from her husband, parents, and friends, Kristina felt something was missing. The stark transition from the clinical setting of the hospital, where every detail is measured and charted, to being home alone with no direction, revealed a gap in care. This experience inspired her vision: to offer families the thoughtful, personalized support that eases the journey into motherhood and transforms it into a time of empowerment and joy.

Kristina is bringing this vision to life in Southeast Idaho. With years of experience as a certified birth and postpartum doula, she saw a need in the community for comprehensive and compassionate services that address the physical and emotional needs of new families. Today, Idaho Postpartum Haven serves mothers, babies, and families, providing both doula services and a postpartum guest suite designed for rest, recovery, and renewal.

We recognize that mothers often face intense pressure to bounce back immediately after childbirth, whether from societal expectations or internal drive. This burden can overshadow the beauty of the postpartum period. Our mission is to replace that pressure with reassurance, care, and empowerment. We support mothers in finding confidence in their abilities and in embracing this memorable time with their families.

March of Dimes
"Increased access to doula care, especially in under-resourced communities, can improve a range of health outcomes for mothers and babies, lower healthcare costs, reduce c-sections (cesarean sections), decrease maternal anxiety and depression, and help improve communication between low-income, racially/ethnically diverse pregnant women and their health care providers.” Read statement here

“Research by experts tells us what many have long suspected-that those new parents who have support and feel secure and cared for during this time are more successful in adapting than those who don't. We know that women who experience support...have greater breastfeeding success, greater self-confidence, less postpartum depression, and a lower incidence of abuse than those who do not."
