A doula is a professional support person providing non-medical physical, emotional, and educational assistance before, during, and after birth. As a doula, I work to ensure:

  • You feel informed and confident in your choices.

  • Communication with your provider is clear and effective.

  • You and your partner have the support and knowledge to advocate for yourselves.

While I do not replace your partner or medical team, my primary focus is on supporting the mother during birth and the entire family in the postpartum period.

Benefits of Doula Support:

  • Birth Doula: Shorter labor, lower cesarean risk, reduced pain medication, and improved satisfaction with the birthing experience.

  • Postpartum Doula: Reduced mood disorders, improved mental health, better breastfeeding outcomes, quicker recovery, and stronger family bonds.

I am based in Pocatello, Idaho, and serve Eastern Idaho and Northern Utah, including Idaho: Bannock, Bonneville, Madison, Bingham, and surrounding counties
Utah: Cache and Weber counties

I’ve supported families through diverse situations, including:

  • High-risk pregnancies, NICU stays, and premature births

  • Medicated and unmedicated labors, home births, and cesareans

  • Gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, and HELLP syndrome

About Kristina

Congratulations on entering this exciting new chapter of life! Whether it’s your first or fifteenth pregnancy, each experience is unique bringing new joys and challenges. My mission is to guide and support you through this transformative time with care and compassion. I’m honored to support families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Here’s a little about me:

  • I grew up in Utah and hold a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah.

  • My interests (besides all things birth) include psychology, music, eastern and western medicine, and self-sustainability.

  • My husband and I are parents to five wonderful children. We relocated to Pocatello, Idaho, in 2020, where I’ve continued my passion for serving families.

Becoming a mother was the most profound experience of my life, and it inspired my journey to becoming a birth and postpartum doula. I view birth as a normal physiological process that should be intimate, empowering, and well-supported—not over-medicalized. My goal is to help you feel confident and prepared to navigate this incredible journey.
